Owen Wilson: Hollywood Actor From Texas

Born on November 18, 1968 in the city of Dallas in Texas, Owen Cunningham Wilson or simply called as Owen Wilson, is a popular Hollywood actor and writer. He is the son of Robert Andrew Wilson, an executive in an advertising agency and operator for a public television station and Laura Cunningham Wilson, a professional photographer. Raised as a Roman Catholic, Owen has two brothers named Andrew and Luke. His parents are Irish American descent who came from Massachusetts.
Owen went to The Lamplighter School and St. Mark’s School of Texas. He was expelled from St. Mark’s School of Texas after stealing his teacher’s textbook, which he needed to help him with his homework. He completed his secondary education in New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) where he is considered as distinguished alumni because of successful career in the entertainment industry.
His initial acting career started with the film “Dignan” which was directed by Wes Anderson. He starred in big-budgeted Hollywood films such as Ben Stiller’s “The Cable Guy” in 1996. In 2000, Wilson got his biggest break through the film “Shanghai Noon” with Hong Kong superstar Jackie Chan which earned $100 million worldwide. A year after, he starred in another box-office film “Zoolander” with Ben Stiller. He made the sequel for Shanghai Noon titled “Shanghai Knights” in 2003 also with Jackie Chan.
In 2005, Owen starred in the film “Wedding Crashers” opposite Vince Vaughn. The movie earned more than $200 million in the United States alone. He also appeared in numerous movies such as “Meet the Parents” in 2000; “Starsky & Hutch” in 2004; “Meet the Fockers” in 2004, and much more.
